Ep2. Procrastinating, the NZMCCG, TOMCC Charity Rides and TVNZ

Posted under Podcast by Kimberly on Friday 4 September 2009 at 12:08 pm UTC

Well, as you know. I have been a little, ok a lot slack when it comes to my personal podcast. :)

This is a short episode which lasts around 7 minutes :)

In this episode I talk a little about procrastinating and why one shouldn’t do it. Being new to the whole podcast production thing and I also talk about a Triumph Owners Motorcycle Club charity ride which happened on the weekend of 30th of August 2009 and the way TVNZ mis-reported what the ride was about and claimed it to be a Protest ride. I also include a bit about the NZ Motor Cycle Cruiser Group (NZMCCG)

This is completely off the cuff and no real planning went into it, so I apologise in advance :) I am confident things will start to get better from here on in with my Podcast.

You can visit the NZMCCG Website @ http://www.nzcruisergroup.co.nz if your a New Zealand Motor Cycle Cruiser rider and are looking for a great group of people to ride with.

Awesome Weekend

Posted under General by Kimberly on Monday 1 June 2009 at 8:50 pm UTC

4604218 Well, The long weekend is drawing to an end. Had an awesome weekend too. Mum and Dad came down from Auckland on their Suzuki Boulevard C90T.

Got to go out on a ride with dad on Sunday, Just out of Foxton we hit some really high winds, which in turn made it really hard to lean the bike around corner. No matter how hard we tired to lean, the wind just stood us back up. Added a whole new element to the riding experience for me that’s for sure. Leaning a cruiser over while we’re still up right was kind of interesting.

Our cruise south didn’t last as long as I had hoped. It got really bloody cold and my poor toes started to freeze. So we exit staged back through Shannon to Palmy. Had a bit of  a ticky tour around palmy and headed home. Dad asked if I wanted to find an empty carpark to have a go with the C90T, but seeing as it’s a 1500 and reasonably heavy I opted not to take him up on the offer (maybe when I have my Fuil Licence Dad. :) ) Seeing I only have my learners and don’t yet have road experience. I don’t feel comfortable riding dad’s big 1500 yet.. One day

Went and had a quick look at Anza at the Hyosung Aquila GV250. Nice looking piece of machinery, but Anza is over priced compared to other places around NZ for the same bike. Hopefully I can get in some test rides over the next few weeks to see what I like the feel of on the road.

Anyway, I hope everyone had an awesome long weekend. Time to go sit down with my glass of wine and relax. Before the working week starts again. :)
